SCF Faculty Lecture Series

Call for Faculty Papers for Fall 2011 and Spring 2011

Purpose

The purpose of the Faculty Lecture Series is fivefold:

·         To provide an opportunity for faculty members to present their research to, and receive critical feedback from, colleagues, members of community, and students.

·         To create better inter-departmental and inter-campus interaction

·         To provide community members and students access to SCF faculty research not only through the lectures themselves but also through SCF Library’s archival system

·         To provide students the opportunity to learn the process of academic research

·         To promote the creation of an active scholarly community

Format

The ideal format of each Lecture is as follows:

·         Two presentations, each not exceeding 30 minutes.  The academic discipline of the presenters could be different.

·         Questions/Answers Session

·         Reception on both campuses
