This guide will help you find the resources you need to succeed with your Written Communication assignments.

Starting the Research Process
- Use the Research Companion database to help you find, evaluate and cite information
- Start by choosing your keywords. To help you create an effective search strategy, watch the "What’s a Search Strategy?" video in the Getting Started Videos section
- Enter your chosen keywords into the Quick Search box or one of the databases listed in the Searching Databases section
- Evaluate your search results using the guidance in the Evaluating Resources section—ask yourself if the sources are relevant and come from scholarly or credible publications
- Use the resources in the Citing Sources section to ensure you properly cite any information taken from your sources
