@ New College + Ringling Museum - Literari Book Club- Thursdays, 6:00 p.m. @ New College or Fridays, 10:30 a.m. @ the Ringling Museum Library

  • A collaborative event between The Ringling Museum Art Library and the Jane Bancroft Cook Library of New College and University of South Florida, Sarasota-Manatee
  • a book group that discusses books about art and subjects reflecting the Ringling collections.
  • Free, no registration required

  • Treats, scary resources & crafts.   Costumes welcome.

@ Ringling College of Art + Design - Onghena - Wednesday, October 31, 2018

  • A performance by An Onghena, artist and co-founder of the Belgian graphic design and print studio Kabinet, in which a normal piece of paper transitions into a dance and ends as a sculpture.

@ Ringling College of Art + Design - Paper Jam – an alternative book fair - Saturday, December 1, 2018

  • Paper Jam is a new annual event at Ringling College of Art + Design bringing independent artists’ publishing to Sarasota and the Creative Coast. It features comics, zines, graphic novels, artists’ books, photobooks, creative writing, illustrated books, and experimental printed matter produced by the campus community, local community, and invited guest exhibitors.

@ The Ringling -Conversations with the Library -  From the Ancient Pyramids to a Voyage through Italy: Ringling Art Library’s Collection of Rare Travel Books
