What is Copyright Clearance Center?
Copyright Clearance Center (CCC) licenses copyright-protected content to businesses and academic institutions and compensates publishers and content creators for the use of their works. CCC brokers licenses for books, e-books, journals, newspapers, magazines, and more.
Through the Library, SCF has an annual license with CCC that covers the use of certain copyrighted material by faculty for use in their courses. Such licensed content may be stored in the LMS, or distributed within the institution to students, faculty, and staff for non-commercial educational purposes.
