Digital technology & maker tools at the SCF Libraries

Bradenton Campus - Maker Commons Circle

The Media Editing & Special Software area in the Bradenton Campus is located just outside the Maker Commons rooms, in computers located around the circular counter.

The area includes several PCs and two iMac computers with the following media/editing software licensed to use for educational purposes.

  • Includes NAAP Labs for Astronomy, from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.

The SCF Libraries Maker Commons constitute an invitation to create, learn, and explore, in order to further our students' educational goals. They may be used only for lawful purposes: see Maker Commons Terms & Conditions.

In addition to the Maker Commons Terms & Conditions, this equipment/room has the following 

Media Editing Terms & Conditions:

  • The Media Editing room provides software to be used by students and staff.
  • Users need to submit the purpose of their project. The Library reserves the right to approve or deny the use of the room based on the purpose and in relation to the educational goals of the College.
  • Users are responsible for their own projects, and the Library is not responsible for malfunctions, mistakes, deleted projects, or other user, hardware, or software errors.
  • Projects should not be saved to this room's computers. The Library is not responsible for work that has not been saved appropriately.
