AS: Paralegal/Legal Assisting: Shepardizing/Key Cite

A collection of legal print and online resources available for SCF faculty and students

"Shepards" is a legal reference set that allows you to check and see if cases you are using are still 'good law'.  Students should use the KeyCite function in Westlaw and check and see if the cases they are using is still 'good law'.

This is a sample of the KeyCite Symbols.  We recommend that you register in WestlawNext and read the online documentation and watch the webinars in order to make the best use of the KeyCite system.

Access to WestlawNext is available to students currently registered in the Paralegal Program.

To become more familiar with Westlaw investigate Westlaw's tutorials.
